Sleek MakeUP i-Divine: Circus
While we were in Paris Sleek MakeUP finally launched their new limited edition palette named "Circus". I say finally because we've heard a lot about it on both Twitter and Facebook, and it was the second palette which differed from their original black look. This palette is bright red, something I'm not sure whether or not I really like, but it's different alright. Since I already own all the previous palettes from Sleek MakeUP I decided to get "Circus" as well, while it was still available - and ended up ordering it from our hotel room in Paris. Thank heavens for the Internet, right? The palette arrived yesterday, and it might seem like Sleek MakeUP actually listened to all of us who got their palettes shattered in the mail. "Circus" was securely wrapped in bubble wrap before it was placed in a nicely padded envelope, so this one reached me in perfect shape.

Once again I'm not going to do what others before me have done so well, so you can find swatches from this palette over at Lipglossiping and Vex in the City if you're interested. The palette consists of matte and shimmery eye shadows, and some of the colors are quite gorgeous. I'm a big fan of bright colors as we all know, so I especially like the dark purple, the dark blue, the red and the hot pink in this palette. The packaging takes some time getting used to, but I like that Sleek MakeUP dares to venture away from the safe and familiar - that certainly gives them an extra plus in my book.

Another prize from Sleek MakeUP!
Yesterday Mr. Postman came back with two more packages for me, one from Sleek MakeUP and another from one of my trusted eBay sellers containing "Perennial High Style" lipglass from M·A·C Give Me Liberty of London. The package from Sleek MakeUP contained the two kajals in "Odyssey" and "Nocturnal" that I won in one of their FaceBook contests in late April, and I was extremely happy to receive them! I'll say.. the purple one looks amazing! Now, since the palettes arrived the day before and the kajals yesterday, I'm interpreting it to be a sign for me to do a Sleek EOTD soon. I've also decided to redo my sunset EOTD, but I'll try something different first, as I'm planning to try out the purple "Odyssey".
So I tried swatching them (here) to show you how nice they look, but because of the flash they only show up shiny or greasy on the picture - and to me they are neither. I'll try to add better swatches some other time, but at least you can see the colors. The black is black, and the purple one is kinda metallic and gorgeous. Both are very creamy, easy to apply and I can't wait to try them out on my eyes. I don't have sensitive eyes, so unfortunately I can't tell you if they are suitable for those of you who have. I think I'd recommend setting them with an eye shadow, but I'll be back with a review when I've tested them a few times.

These kajals cost €7.99 a piece - which would be about 64,- NOK with today's exchange rate - and can easily be ordered here. Please remember that shipping will apply, as well as taxes according to the value and quantity of your order.

“Mr. Postman and the Missing Palettes”
I've been waiting for Mr. Postman for several days now, and a week feels so horrendously long whenever Mr. Postman seems to have forgotten all about me. But today I got a shipment notice without any sign of who it was from, not even a name! So I took it with me down to the post office, and the first thing I saw - even before it was my turn - was a large box all taped up with "Sleek MakeUP" tape. It had to be mine, it just had to be mine? Quite right.. the wonderful prize of ten Sleek MakeUP i-Divine palettes (including the limited edition ones) I won in March had finally arrived.
I had to open it immediately, and the very first thing I found when I opened my package was a sweet letter congratulating me on winning one of their contests on FaceBook. I then found three smaller boxes containing three palettes each, and a single palette wrapped in some bubble wrap and pink tissue paper. Knowing how Mr. Postman sometimes handle my packages, I was kinda worried that everything would be cracked and shattered, but every single palette had survived the trip from UK. I was thrilled! One of the shades in "Graphite" was a little chipped on one side, but it was only minor damage.
A million thanks to Sleek MakeUP for giving their fans several chances to win some of their excellent palettes and a few other products. Now I'm only crossing my fingers and hoping that Mr. Postman will arrive with my second prize, the two Kajals. I'm dying to try them out!

Personal disclaimer to follow:
If my vocabulary seems poor and ridiculous in this post, it's probably because I've been awake for almost 18 hours, and I'm just not cut out for this getting-up-at-7-AM business. I'm a night owl, and I'm proud of it. Blame it on my genes. Peace out!

I won another Sleek contest!
As I'm sure most of you, at least those who are waiting for me to announce which Sleek MakeUP palettes I have for sale, have already have figured out on your own, I haven't received my grand prize yet. I decided to e-mail Sleek MakeUP once again today, and it turns out there's been some misunderstanding with my address. Now everything has been worked out, and my prize will be shipped from the UK one of these following days. It's been 39 days since the contest, and when I actually won something, I was kinda disappointed that it never reached me. Well, I don't really care about that now, the most important thing is that I'm finally getting my prize! Thank goodness I'm patient.. no, wait.. that's one thing I'm really not.
Sleek MakeUP had another contest on FaceBook today, and I decided to participate again - as it was open to earlier winners as well. The grand prize was one i-Divine palette in "Graphite" decorated with Swarovski crystals, and which girl wouldn't like her palettes to be blinged? Awesome! So I sat ready and posted my answer as the clock turned 5:00 PM, and my comment ended up as number 22. And being number 22 won me the new Sleek MakeUP Kajals in both "Odyssey" (purple) and "Nocturnal" (black), which suited me perfectly! You can never have too many kajals, at least I can't.
If you think you've seen these before, it's the budget version of Guerlain Kajal Kohl.

Sleek MakeUP i-Divine: Bohemian
About two or three weeks ago I ordered the latest LE palette from Sleek MakeUP called "Bohemian". This was my very first order with Sleek MakeUP as they just recently opened up for international shipping from UK, making it a lot easier for us in other countries to get our hands on their products. I placed my order on March 19th, it was shipped on the 23rd, and arrived on the 31st. Not bad at all, but for some reason the seven working days seemed a lot longer than usual.
When I opened the package I discovered that one of the shades had been smashed during transport, and I was really disappointed. You know, when you wait for something to arrive - all anxious and everything - it's really annoying when it arrives damaged, or broken. I e-mailed customer service, told them about the damage and enclosed a picture of the mess. Luckily they offered to replace the palette for me, so today Mr. Postman came knocking with my brand new Bohemian palette!
"Bohemian" looks a little bit different from the other familiar black Sleek MakeUP i-Divine palettes, mainly because it's white. The actual plastic seems a little different as well, but I'm not sure if I like the change or not. The other palettes all come in a transparent plastic sleeve, while Bohemian has a more fancy-looking cardboard sleeve decorated with some nice artwork. The actual eye shadows are mainly mattes, apart from three metallic shadows.

I don't own the previous matte palette "Chaos", but from the swatches I've seen it looks very chalky and unappealing. The same thing applies for "Acid", but the colors are awesome and unusual enough to be appealing to me anyway. I've decided not to do any swatches, as it's too much hassle for me, but OxfordJasmine has posted swatches of her "Bohemian" palette for you to see here. Judging from the pictures the matte eye shadows in "Bohemian" looks somewhat smoother, or less chalky than both "Acid" and "Chaos", making me wonder if maybe Sleek MakeUP have altered their formula of matte shadows since their last matte palette?
I'm still waiting for my prize from the contest on Facebook, but I'm guessing it's right around the corner. I'll keep you posted, and I expect I'll be posting a look with this palette soon. Stay tuned for more!
