Sleek MakeUP i-Divine: Good Girl and Bad Girl

Ever since my first encounter with Sleek MakeUP in February this year I've been a fan of the brand. Their eyeshadow palettes are amazing, and so are the colors, most textures and their customer service as well. Late this October Sleek MakeUP launched two new palettes named "Good Girl" and "Bad Girl", and they arrived in the mail the day after I arrived home from the hospital - such a perfect way of making my week a little better.

M·A·C “My Dark Magic” and “She Who Dares”

Lately Mr. Postman has stopped by with a few goodies for me. Not very much though, but enough to keep me happy and occupied for a while. I haven't been wearing any makeup since the classic look I wore for the Karpe Diem concert, and I won't until my body decides to stop acting up. I've been terribly out of shape, my neck is killing me, giving me headaches and making me nauseous.

Anyway, back to the fun stuff. Today Mr. Postman left me a small yellow padded envelope, and inside I found two M·A·C Mineralize Eye Shadow Duos from the latest collection Venomous Villains. "She Who Dares" (deep navy with blue pearl & deep forest green with lime green pearl) and "My Dark Magic" (deep pink with pink pearl & deep plum with purple pearl) are from Maleficent's part of the collection. I'm a little ashamed, I have on several occasions said that I was skipping everything from Venomous Villains, but what do you know - I was dragged into it.

Loving purple the way I do, I'll have to crown "My Dark Magic" my absolute favorite of the two. As you can see of the picture mine has a lot of silvery veining, which I really like. This is my very first encounter with M·A·C Mineralize Eye Shadow, so I'm a bit excited to see if I'll like them or not. I've heard a lot about these MES, both good and bad things, bot I'm still looking forward to trying them out for myself. The thing I like the most about them is that no two eyeshadows are alike when it comes to color and veining.

I have also promised my girls Pinch and Fieran to do a look with a black base underneath. I'm a little afraid I'll end up looking like the raccoon-eyed Taylor Momsen, but a promise is a promise! Wink

Added treasure: Orly and OPI

I haven't bought any nail polish for a long time now, not even the Grafitti Nails from IsaDora, and when Orly came with out with their Cosmic FX collection I knew I had to order "Space Cadet" at least. I've never tried Orly nail polish, so I figured I could order a few more when I was already at it. I wanted the Plastix collection, and decided pick up all four nail polishes: "Retro Red", "Old School Orange", "Viridian Vinyl" and "Purple Pleather". According to Orly the Plastix collection are not quite glossy, not quite matte, and I adore all four of them.

This past Tuesday Mr. Postman came a-knocking with a package from Neglelakkmani. I was completely ecstatic as I knew it contained the gorgeous "Unripened" from O·P·I. I fell in love with it when she posted a picture of it on her blog - what a treasure - but since I'm really not up to speed when it comes to nail polish, I was way too late for getting my paws on it. Thanks to Neglelakkmani I now own a full size bottle of "Unripened", and I'm forever grateful. Thank you a million times, dear! Heart

Sleek MakeUP i-Divine: Circus

While we were in Paris Sleek MakeUP finally launched their new limited edition palette named "Circus". I say finally because we've heard a lot about it on both Twitter and Facebook, and it was the second palette which differed from their original black look. This palette is bright red, something I'm not sure whether or not I really like, but it's different alright. Since I already own all the previous palettes from Sleek MakeUP I decided to get "Circus" as well, while it was still available - and ended up ordering it from our hotel room in Paris. Thank heavens for the Internet, right? The palette arrived yesterday, and it might seem like Sleek MakeUP actually listened to all of us who got their palettes shattered in the mail. "Circus" was securely wrapped in bubble wrap before it was placed in a nicely padded envelope, so this one reached me in perfect shape.

Once again I'm not going to do what others before me have done so well, so you can find swatches from this palette over at Lipglossiping and Vex in the City if you're interested. The palette consists of matte and shimmery eye shadows, and some of the colors are quite gorgeous. I'm a big fan of bright colors as we all know, so I especially like the dark purple, the dark blue, the red and the hot pink in this palette. The packaging takes some time getting used to, but I like that Sleek MakeUP dares to venture away from the safe and familiar - that certainly gives them an extra plus in my book.

A tiny little M·A·C haul

MAC Hipness BlushI was being so proud of myself for being able to say no, and ignore the last few items from M·A·C To the Beach collection I didn't get my hands on before they sold out - but somewhere along the line I apparently failed myself. Today Mr. Postman brought me M·A·C "Hipness" (intense coral with soft white pearl) and M·A·C "Temperature Rising" (loudmouth orange) - together with M·A·C "Devil" (bright iridescent coral orange) which is a Pro item, not related to this collection at all.

So what happened? I really don't know, but I suddenly felt like an idiot for not grabbing "Hipness" when I had the chance. It's a repromote from the M·A·C Fafi collection, and I've heard a lot of people praising this blush. Amira told me that it was pretty much like M·A·C Ripe Peach, which I got back in March, but I still wanted "Hipness". And what happens when I want something? I think about it so much I'm about to go crazy, before I cave and go on a rampage to find the item in question. I have a lot of treasures in my collection now, and some I'm quite happy to have gotten my hands on.

This completes (through three hauls) my M·A·C To the Beach haul with the following products:

  • "Marine Life" High-Light Powder
  • "Hipness" Powder Blush
  • "Float on By" Eye Kohl
  • "Temperature Rising" Lip Pencil
  • "Firecracker" Eye Shadow
  • "Sweet & Punchy" Eye Shadow

Yep, I'm a M·A·C whore. I'll admit it. And I'll say it again. I desperately need to start my organizing soon, but I'm guessing it'll be put off until after Paris, and then a little longer since we're going up north and then back down south, before spending the rest of our vacation in Trondheim. We've got a busy schedule, see.
