Haul: Nordstrom, Sephora and NARS
When I was bored I used to shop to console myself. Then I started shopping when I was feeling down to make myself feel better. Now I'm not sure why I shop anymore, but I really enjoy waiting for Mr. Postman or Mr. DHL, for unraveling what's hiding inside bubble wrap and cardboard, and to behold the beauties unveiled. Yep, I'm a classic shopaholic. Although it might sound quite materialistic.. my stuff really makes me happy, and I need this kind of happiness in my life as long as my body keeps pulling all kinds of nasty tricks on me.
Now it's time to share another haul, a collective one, which Mr. DHL brought me in mid-October. If you don't care much for haul posts or the likes of it, you might as well stop your reading here. As I've done earlier I've decided to break this haul into two parts, where this post is the first one out. Please note that this is indeed a collective haul, which means that everything has been purchased over a certain period of time - in this case, about four months.
Hauls + Splurges = Treasures
Even though I've decided to stop shopping for a while, I had to ask Øyvind to stop by DHL today to pick up a package for me. Mr. DHL didn't call me this morning, although the tracking told me that my package had arrived and was sitting in their office, all lonely and sad. It contained a collective haul consisting of products from M·A·C, Urban Decay, Origins, Stila, Benefit, Jack Black and Tarte! Man, that list made it sound like I've gone mad with my VISA once again, but I swear it wasn't that bad. I've actually been a good girl since I said I'd stop shopping for a while to save up some fun money for Paris, apart from a tiny little slip where I ended up getting a few items from M·A·C when ordering some things for a good friend of mine. Oh well, nothing too bad at least, and I think I've been good.

Let's move on to my precious DHL shipment, shall we? I'm well aware of my list being a bit long, but bear in mind that these items have accumulated through April and May and some where purchased at a discount.
I heart MyUS and US Unlocked
Mr. DHL made my day a lot better by calling me up early this morning to tell me he'd stop by later on to deliver a package for me. It wasn't that exciting as I hadn't gone completely overboard this time. It contained my M·A·C Jeanius haul + both blushes in "Overdyed" (bright magenta) and "Pink Cult" (midtone dirty neutral pink), the M·A·C Pink Power MSF from Wonder Woman, M·A·C Gotta Dash! (pale clean coral) from Sheen Supreme, some bottles of PocketBac® and a few drugstore items.
I recently found out that I could order from Drugstore, something I've been wanting to do for a long time, so I ordered the items listed below. It's quite weird that we have most of these brands in Norway, but not these particular products - at least not as I know of, and several of the items on my list are highly praised among my fellow American makeup addicts. I paid a total of $40 or about 217,- NOK with today's exchange rate.
- Maybelline Great Lash Clear Mascara for Lash and Brow
- L'Oreal HIP Bright Duos Shadow in "224 Showy"
- L'Oreal HIP Color Rich Cream Eyeliner in "945 Teal"
- L'Oreal Lineur Intense Felt Tip Eyeliner in "960 Carbon Black"
- Chapstick Classic Lip Balm SPF 4 in "Cherry" and "Spearmint"
- Chapstick Medicated Skin Protectant/External Analgesic Lip Balm
- Nivea Lip Care in "Milk & Honey" and "A Kiss of Shimmer"
There won't be a lot of hauling to read about for a while now, I need so save up for our upcoming trip to Paris. I have to have at least a little money to spend in Sephora (where I can use my black membership card), M·A·C, Galeries Lafayette and wherever else I feel the need to splurge a little. ![]()
Missing: Mr. DHL!
For the very first time since I started using DHL I'm not very impressed with them as a courier. I mean, I still like them a lot in general, and the regular delivery guy is flat out awesome - but on Tuesday Mr. DHL apparently came to deliver a package for me, and apparently I wasn't at home to sign for it. He was supposedly here at 12:20 PM, and when I called DHL to ask what the heck, she told me he'd left a note. Well, I was at home the whole day, and there was no phone call, no note and certainly no attempted delivery. Of course there was no harm done, I collected the package myself, but things like this pisses me off.
Anyway. I went to DHL myself to pick up my shipment, and it contained a collective haul from Urban Decay and M·A·C, in addition to a few gifts for a dear friend. It held my items from M·A·C Wonder Woman, the new Viva Glam Gaga II lipstick and matching lipglass, M·A·C & Nicki Minaj Pink Friday lipstick, a 217 Blending Brush, a 24/7 Shadow Pencil Blending Brush and the three new Feminine, Dangerous, Fun™ palettes from Urban Decay. I know I said I wouldn't buy any more Urban Decay palettes until they stopped launching the same colors over and over again, but you know.. I could.. not.. resist.. them.

I also picked up another package that arrived while I was in Kiel, and inside I found a signed copy of Kat Von D's "The Tattoo Chronicles". Such a gorgeous book! Unfortunately I cannot brag about knowing Kat Von D personally or even having met her, but I coincidentally saw a tweet from High Voltage Tattoo saying that a few signed copies of her book was available in their online store - and so I decided to order the book. I do not regret my purchase!
I'm still expecting Mr. Postman to stop by, and I hope he'll do so soon. I ended up ordering a straightening iron from FeelUnique, which I think has stopped for a vacation in Oslo - or so it might seem, and a padded envelope from Benefit Cosmetics. Exciting! ![]()

Summer Hauling
So guess who's been out hauling again? Yep, that's right. That would indeed be me. Or I haven't really been out, I've just used my precious Internet access to the rest of the (fabulous) world (of shopping). Lunacy? Maybe, but oh.. so fun! My collective haul has been sitting at MyUS, just waiting for my Converse Dr. Seuss All Stars to arrive so everything could be shipped combined, and today the glorious red and yellow box arrived!
