Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion in "Black"
Impeccable Brow Pencil in "Taupe"
On December 30th I figured I had to dig out my makeup and do something daring as I had plans to meet up with Renate. I pulled out my Inglot palette, and came up with this look. For the first time ever I decided to try a look with a black base, so I drew a line with the super black Maybelline Master Drama™ pencil, which I think is an awesome pencil liner, and smoked it out with a pencil brush. I then did my makeup as usual, Inglot 445 on two thirds of the lid, Inglot 446 in the outer corner and crease, blended it all, curled my lashes and put on my mascara.
I had a lot of fun playing with my makeup again today, I think I've worn a look like this once or twice this year, and I felt both inspired and happy playing with my "toys" again. I've fallen in love with my Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush, even though I'm not quite comfortable with the Base Shadow Brush yet. I find it a bit to flimsy to pack on eyeshadow with, but it might just be me and my personal preferences. I think I'll pick up some more of the Real Techniques brushes later on, as I would like to try the Blush Brush and possibly also the Shading Brush to see if it's any different than the one I already have.
Please excuse the bad quality and lighting, wintertime in Norway isn't the best time to take pictures, and it was shot with an iPhone 4.

Interviewed
I think yesterday took it's toll on me, because I've been completely exhausted all day. I had a hard time getting out of bed, which was kinda problematic as I had an interview scheduled for 11:00 AM today. Obviously that didn't work out, but luckily the journalist - a very nice woman - was extremely understanding, and postponed the interview for several hours. At 17:30 PM we finally met up, and she did a piece on me and my blog for a Norwegian journal. I'm not going to say much more about it quite yet, but I think it's exciting! I've actually done an interview because of my blogging - how cool isn't that? I must admit to feeling a tad important right now.

Thursday was such a nice day with a temperature of 13'C, and delightful sunshine all day! I was supposed to participate in a meeting regarding ULOBA in Trondheim, but I never made it. We took the bus to Munkegata, but when we got to the connecting bus I was unable to get on - why can't all buses be without stairs? We were told that there was another bus which I would be able to enter with my wheelchair, but it would take about an hour - and that would make us arrive 45-60 minutes after the meeting had started. We called on a taxi, but after realizing it would cost us about 1000,- NOK, we changed out minds and went to Trondheim Torg instead. No use in throwing away a perfectly good day, huh?
I don't really like going to Trondheim Torg when I'm broke, as I'm not really big on window-shopping, but I'm lucky enough to have a very sweet boyfriend. He bought me a new shower gel from The Body Shop, my favorite soap of all time. Some of them smell so great I'm tempted to drink them! This time I chose "Sweet Lemon", one of their new scents. It smelled delicious! I also picked up a new silicone cover for my iPhone, since my invisibleSHIELD™ decided to start peeling. It was great as long as it actually worked though. I did look for Maybelline® Dream Mousse products in several stores, but all I could find was their Dream Matte® Mousse Foundation, no concealers or blush.
I also went to VITA to check out the new collection from GOSH Cosmetics. Their two new quads called "Bohemian Gypsy" and "Modern Gypsy" looked so incredibly appealing to me, but it's been a long time since I've been that disappointed in a product. Sure, it looked nothing less than amazing, but the color payoff was horrible! I swatched the colors in the store, and some of them didn't even show up on my fingertips! They seemed hard, chunky and impossible to work with. Maybe there was something wrong with the testers, I don't know - all I know is that it's not worth wasting any money on. If anyone else have these quads and think they're awesome, please let me know. Since these are LE I might buy at least one of the quads just to check if it's really the testers or what, but I haven't decided yet. I've become spoiled by highly pigmented eyeshadows like the ones from M·A·C, Make Up For Ever and Urban Decay - so now I've turned into somewhat of a makeup snob. I'll keep you posted on what I decide, and if I end up getting one or both of these quads I'll put up some swatches for you.

Maybelline® Dream Mousse Concealer
I've heard so many things about the Maybelline® Dream Mousse products, although mainly about the blushes, that I've been wanting to try them for a while now. For instance, Marlena from MakeupGeek loves them and just recently featured two of them in her "Top 6 Blushes!" article. As far as I know these products aren't available in Norway, or at least I haven't seen them anywhere. If you know something I don't, then please leave a comment below!
Jo from jomakemeblush used her Maybelline® Dream Mousse Concealer in Beige (best suited for medium skin tone) prior to applying her lipstick in one of her latest YouTube videos, and I just love how M·A·C Vegas Volt (full power coral) looks on her - it went straight onto my wishlist. I decided to go on a little eBay mission to find this concealer - I actually don't own a single concealer yet - but unfortunately I quickly discovered that the names and colors are completely different in the US and UK. Why on Earth would they make this so complicated? Since Jo is from the US, she uses her concealer in Beige as already said. There's no such color in the UK color scale, but after doing a little research I think the UK equivalent is Rose Beige. In the US you can choose between the following five shades: Fair, Ivory, Cream (light), Beige (medium), Latte (dark) - and in the UK you can choose between four shades: Nude Beige, Natural, Sand and Rose Beige.
After a quick search on eBay I found several sellers offering this concealer in several shades, and I decided to buy one from the US, in Beige. I ended up paying $10.94 ($4.99 plus $5.95 for shipping), which would be about 67,- NOK. I also noticed that the US and UK prices were just about the same. If I were getting one from a UK seller I'd pay 65,- NOK included shipping, so it all comes down to which shade you ultimately end up choosing.
