After some swearing, a lot of troubleshooting and a little thinking I finally found the error that caused my Google Friend Connect application to die on me. I hope those of you who were following me will consider doing so again, and this time I’m hoping it’ll stay alive. The reason that you’ll have to reconnect is that I screwed up and deleted my former listing, and so I deleted all my friends at the same time. Nice? Yeah, I know. Stupid.

Who would have thought, another “Say WHAT?” post already! I’m frequently visiting a fair amount of blogs, either by people I know personally or blogs I’ve ventured upon from reading comments, and apparently there’s a new amazing phenomenon going around. The new, hot thing amongst “the cool kids” is to leave comments on all available blogs saying: “Please come to my blog and leave a comment!”, or even “I’m having a blog versus blog challenge, and you can win a link from my blog!”. What is this? Is there some stupidity contest going on that I’m unaware of? Can someone please enlighten me?

Believe me, if you come to my blog to enter a completely idiotic comment about me visiting your blog I’ll be sure not to visit you, or even promote your blog by keeping the comment available to my viewers. Not going to happen, sorry. Save your time and energy to write some real blog posts for your own blog, and try to compose comments related to the post you’re commenting on instead of spamming crap. Just think about it. If you have the need to promote your own blog in such a manner, maybe you should just rethink your attempt as a blogger? Now I’m sure I’m gonna get a few “humorous” comments with the intention of annoying me, but if I know you.. I know where to find you, so don’t even think about it.

Annoyed? HELL YES!

I don’t understand why there’s always something that isn’t working properly when it comes to web design. Well, maybe it’s me. Maybe I suck. Maybe. Although I’m pretty sure it isn’t my fault that users from blogg.no (the link is not promotional, it’s only to give you the opportunity to check out the stupid site yourself) don’t have functional gravatars when they comment on blogs that aren’t hosted by blogg.no, and vice versa. Gravatar actually means Globally Recognized Avatars, and is supposed to follow you from site to site. Seems like blogg.no have hijacked the gravatar to show their own static avatar – or really no avatar at all – instead of just getting the actual personal gravatar for users outside of blogg.no! It annoys the hell out of me. Seriously, I refuse to register for an account just to get that bloody avatar to work when I comment in blogs hosted by blogg.no.

If you’re not using Gravatar at all, blogg.no, then please stop using their logo! KTHX.
Long live stupidity! Jeez.

Jeg kikker på klokka. Om 2 timer og 50 minutter er det bare 11 dager igjen. 11 dager. De lengste 11 dagene noensinne. Jeg prøver å få tiden til å gå ved å lage en liten webside. Overraskende nok har jeg ikke glemt gamle kunster, og det går relativt problemfritt å sette sammen en enkel liten side med avrundede hjørner. Relativt, fordi jeg må trø til med en liten dose feilsøk før hjørnene bestemmer seg for å adlyde meg, og bli avrundede. Å lage en side tar dog ikke lang tid. Kanskje en halvtime inkludert tiden det tar meg å feilsøke. Og det er fortsatt .. snart 11 dager igjen. Jeg har liksom ikke så voldsomt mye info å putte inn på siden enda, så det blir mest bare et slags design – men mye er gjort når fargene og layouten er på plass! Licota får creds for fargene, det var hun som satte meg på idéen. Og godt er forresten det, ellers hadde den nok blitt blå som de fleste andre websider jeg tryller frem.
