The first day in Paris!

I have so much to write about, but I'm completely exhausted as I'm typing this. If you follow me on Twitter you know that we had car trouble in Germany, which caused quite the delay. I'll tell you all about the ordeal in another post later. We arrived at our hotel a little past 2 AM last night, and decided to spend today walking around in the neighborhood, getting to know the "arrondissement" a little. We had breakfast (what other people might call lunch, brunch or even dinner) at a brasserie called Le Luxembourg, relaxing and watching people pass by. The weather was perfect, with an overcast sky and a temperature of 27'C - just perfect. We also did a little shopping, naturally. Seems like we arrived at a perfect time, because there are sales everywhere! From 40% up to 70%, which is great when the retail prices aren't so unlike the ones we are used to from home. I got a pair of jeans from GAP, a cap (for when the sun comes out), and a few other pieces of summer clothing. We had to stop by Starbucks, where Øyvind ordered a Java Chip Frappuccino® while I picked up a coffee mug saying "Paris Starbucks Coffee". I'm such a sucker for merchandise! I wasn't in the mood for coffee today myself, but we are going back to try out some of the other beverages too. Oh, and we had crêpes!

Let's see, what else? I'm now online with my MacBook, so I'll try to have some pictures up soon. I'm kinda prioritizing other things at the moment, like enjoying beautiful Paris! But now.. I've got a date with Nemo in Dreamland. I'm happy, and I love Øyvind.
