Maybelline® Dream Mousse Concealer
I've heard so many things about the Maybelline® Dream Mousse products, although mainly about the blushes, that I've been wanting to try them for a while now. For instance, Marlena from MakeupGeek loves them and just recently featured two of them in her "Top 6 Blushes!" article. As far as I know these products aren't available in Norway, or at least I haven't seen them anywhere. If you know something I don't, then please leave a comment below!
Jo from jomakemeblush used her Maybelline® Dream Mousse Concealer in Beige (best suited for medium skin tone) prior to applying her lipstick in one of her latest YouTube videos, and I just love how M·A·C Vegas Volt (full power coral) looks on her - it went straight onto my wishlist. I decided to go on a little eBay mission to find this concealer - I actually don't own a single concealer yet - but unfortunately I quickly discovered that the names and colors are completely different in the US and UK. Why on Earth would they make this so complicated? Since Jo is from the US, she uses her concealer in Beige as already said. There's no such color in the UK color scale, but after doing a little research I think the UK equivalent is Rose Beige. In the US you can choose between the following five shades: Fair, Ivory, Cream (light), Beige (medium), Latte (dark) - and in the UK you can choose between four shades: Nude Beige, Natural, Sand and Rose Beige.
After a quick search on eBay I found several sellers offering this concealer in several shades, and I decided to buy one from the US, in Beige. I ended up paying $10.94 ($4.99 plus $5.95 for shipping), which would be about 67,- NOK. I also noticed that the US and UK prices were just about the same. If I were getting one from a UK seller I'd pay 65,- NOK included shipping, so it all comes down to which shade you ultimately end up choosing.

Try Cubus, Lindex, or Coop (the huge supermarket?)
They usually have Maybelline. Otherwise just come to Oslo and I’ll take you makeup shopping. Hehehe.

Ooh, now that I think about it, some H&M branches have it too.

Fieran: Seriously? They have Maybelline® Dream Mousse in Oslo? I’ve been to both H&M and Cubus, and none of them have any of the Dream Mousse products. I began thinking that these items aren’t sold in Norway at all, not meant for the Norwegian market and so on, just as L’Orčal Studio Secrets™. And just for the record, I’d love to go shopping with you!

Hehehe, but I’m a major shopaholic. It’s quite embarassing
Last weekend (Saturday to be exact) Bogstadveien (bogstadveien.no) had a “bil frie markedsdag” where they close up the street and the shops place tables outside and sell their older stock at half the price. Was awesome
Huge crowd though
I’ve bought Maybelline Dream Mousse (the eye colour) in Cubus, I think. Or it might have been Vita. But most of these shops have it. I bought a Maybelline eyeliner (a copperish colour, will check the real colour when I get home today) from H&M at 50% discount because they were clearing their stock.
I haven’t seen the L’oreal Studio Secrets..I’d love to try the primer as I saw it advertised in a magazine recently.
If you really want something from Maybelline, I might be able to buy it and mail it to you

Fieran: You have no idea how much I appreciate you saying that, I feel a lot better knowing that I’m not the only hardcore shopaholic out there!
Ooh, did you find any treasures at the “sale”?
That’s just strange, you know. I’ve been looking for the Maybelline® Dream Mousse (the blushes) ever since I heard about them, but I never found them anywhere. I know several other bloggers who’s been lemming them, but not finding them anywhere. I’ll venture into town one day soon, and have a look in the larger stores, maybe I’m just being blind on both eyes? I wouldn’t be surprised. Thank you for the tip though, I’ll go on a treasure hunt, and I’ll let you know how it goes!
And thank you so much for offering, I really appreciate it – but I’ll see if I can find them here first. If not, there’s always eBay. It’s less hassle!

Sure, but shipping with eBay vs. from Oslo to Trondheim might be a tad cheaper right?
Anyway, the offer still stands. A friend of mine bought the Maybelline Dream Mousse blush from Lindex I believe. So try that shop first
Good luck with your search!

ooh. i really love MAC’s Studio Sculpt Concealer!

Fieran: Shipping from Oslo to Trondheim will surely be a better alternative, so I’m very grateful for your offer!
I did find out that the Lindex in town doesn’t sell cosmetics, and apparently there’s only one Lindex in Trondheim offering cosmetics. I’ll go there when the car has been fixed!
kuraikyo: I think that M·A·C Studio Sculpt Concealer is a little bit too thick, or heavy – so I’m hoping that the Dream Mousse will be as fluffy and light as promised.

What is equivalent to sand 03 in the usa
October 24th, 2010 - 18:08
koki:
I’m really sorry, but I don’t know which colors is the equivalent to Sand 03. My best advice is to use Google and search for swatches, and see what other people say about these colors. Good luck!
